Boston icons 0.7 release
Boston version 0.7 is out! 6 months after the last release, this little update is based on corrections, improvements and some additions focused on production. Work is more slow now, but by another hand, this means some mature status on the focus idea (remember the philosophy of this project).
This new version was tested on GNOME 3.36.1 and brings better support for 48px and 16px sizes. Some filetype icons was included too, for example supporting 3D printers, video projects (Pitivi, Kdenlive), audio projects (Audacity) or audio playlists. Obviously, some small design drawbacks of previous versions have been fixed to polish the visual experience, and legacy compatibility (for some GTK2 apps and XFCE) was a bit extended.
As always, you can read the Changelog file for more details.
Minor changes but good ones. The icon set is ready to continue the original minimal experience, trying to grow up in the future guided for the base principles. For this reason, I invite you all to request and report the icons you need, mainly file types. Those proposals will be analyzed and taken into account for future incorporations.
But that’s not all. Intended to improve and maximize the experience, now are available Boston Backgrounds, a little wallpaper collection designed for promotional screenshots and 4K compatible. Includes 3 minimalist backgrounds: Agave (original photo taken years ago with a Nexus 5X and revised for this package), Cadet (flat color using the Boston base grey) and Vector A (gradient using the original palette). Hope you like it and make much better your desktop!
